I recently was in a road bike crash where contact with the asphalt broke my helmet in 5 places. My Nectar Folly sunglasses were scuffed but held together great and protected my face. Had I been wearing flimsier shades, they likely would have broken and potentially created a lot of damage. I immediately replaced them with an identical pair.
